Observations from Today

No pictures, but maybe you can visualize these scenarios in your mind's eye.
  • The more dangerous the climbing equipment, the more enticing to preschoolers.

  • Little girls knees don't mix well with pavement.

  • Mom wearing a new shirt increases likelihood of bloodied knees.

  • Curious George DVDVs solve many of life's pains and disappointments.

  • Little girls don't enjoy meatloaf.

  • Macaroni & Cheese can restore peace and joy to dinnertime :)

  • After a long day - a bath is a good way for girls to get ready for bed.

  • Dora books don't do well in the bathtub.

What observations did you make today?

My observations from yesterday:
- Botanical gardens are a lot of fun to explore on your own... it can make you feel like you're in The Secret Garden.

- Though the orange bottle/blue top combo is popular for both sunscreen and bug sprays, you have to be careful to grab the correct one.

- Sunscreen is not an effective insect repellent.

- Seeing a waterfall from behind a barrier seems to take away a bit of its wildness.

- Golfing is a whole lot more interesting seen through the eyes of a 5 year old. Ok, maybe not the sport itself, but all the activities you can think up to do around it.

- Actual closed shoes are overrated , the only pair I've worn since being here have been my running shoes.

- Having to wash layers of dirt off my feet at night makes me feel like I've been adventurous during the day.

- I'm extremely privileged to have been part of my hula halau. They feel like another family to me.

- Having Shad watch me hula was really fun.
