Millennium Park

Calli had the day off of preschool this morning, so the school teachers and their families could attend the May Day Immigration March/Rally. I decided to take this "day off" and go downtown and spend some time at Millennium Park.
We had a great time. We took the "EL" for only the second time with the girls. We got off at Macy's and got some lunch to go. Rich was able to take a few minutes off his lunch and walk us to the park. First we ate in this picturesque spot.
Then we went to the primary attraction - The Crown Fountain. The girls loved it. The sun was shining - it was warm - and they both got completely soaked!! Calli was running around like crazy from the start. I tried putting Mari's feet in - but she wasn't into that. So I sat her on the side and let her splash with her hands. Soon she was crawling all over the place. And there were a bunch of high school photography students taking pictures of both the girls. It was cute.
When they were done, I took off all their clothes and rang the water out. I put their wet clothes back on, with sweatshirts over top. (Next time, I'll bring swim suits :) )Then we did a quick pass by Cloud Gate, but it wasn't a big hit.
Then a long train ride home. They were both about to pass out by the time we made it to our front door and I got this last picture. What a fun day. We will be going again soon!!
