Nov 5: Library Program

Today Calli started her first library program at the newly remodeled Evanston Public Library. All the kids in her class including Emily and Chloe (not pictured) made these Princess Crowns. Calli loves hers. She wears it quite a bit at home.



At first, Mari wouldn't get close to this enormous bear, but soon she was giving him hugs and kisses.

Sept 4: Extreme Library Makeover

We have participated in programs at the Evanston Public Library before. They have been good, but we always wished the environment was a little more welcoming, especially for kids. So I was excited when I heard they were planning a renovation, and even more excited when I drove by and saw from the outside the difference. These pictures are from our first visit. Everything was still clean and new.

Fun at the Library

We have been enjoying the children's programs at the Skokie Public Library this fall. This week, we stayed afer the program to play. Mari played with the train table and the bus. Calli LOVED playing the Dora game on the computer. She did really well using the mouse too!

Library Fun

While not the best picture ever, I wanted to say that we have re-discovered the Skokie Library. It is a great place to spend time because they have a train table, puppets, a huge fish tank, and computers with a Dora game. Stay tuned for more . . .

Dragon Attack

This summer we have enjoyed some really good programs through our local library. Calli has made:

• a outerspace bookmark
  
• a "dirt cup" (with oreo crumbs, pudding, and gummy worms)
  
• a butterfly (remember the one out of waxed paper and melted crayon shavings from when you were a kid?)
  
• and now this dragon

After all the kids finished decorating their dragons, they had a little dragon parade through the library and down the sidewalk. It was really cute. Lets hope I can find such great programs this fall!

Library Launch

Today, Calli started a new library program with her friend Chloe. The library has a outer space theme for all their programs this summer - and even has a cardboard rocket that Adam & Mari loved playing in while we were waiting for the girls.
