Feb 8: More Daddy Daughter Pics

Feb 17: Visit to Charlottesville Vineyard!

One of the highlights, and reason for our trip was to visit the Charlottesville Vineyard where Jim and Megan are pastors. It was great! Megan and Jamie stop to pose for a picture.

Megan leads worship during the Sunday service. (The lights are dim - so the picture is a little dark.)

Their information table. We got a welcome packet that included a worship cd - Yay!

The communion table.

Jim standing near the food table. They offer breakfast to everyone who comes in before the service.

Feb 15: More Fun Times in Virginia

You know you've had a fun, and activity-filled day when you fall asleep reading your book.

Jamie and Koji with the tie-dye t-shirt they made together. (No, you can't really see the shirt - it has to live in that plastic bag for a couple weeks.)

Jamie and Izumi - who just finished her blueberry yogurt.

Joshua - he's sooo cute!

Koji - chilling on the couch.

Feb 13: Winter Fun - Almost . . .

Calli was all dressed in her winter gear to go snow tubing with Rich. They went, and watched other people for a while. The day was cold, and the slope was really fast. She got up the courage to go, but then decided she did NOT want her tube tied to Rich's. She had a breakdown at the top of the mountain. Rich had to carry her down, and she never went in the tube.

A few days later, I went with Jamie and Koji. It was a warmer day, and the hill was slow. SO slow in fact, we got stuck several times going down - and needed a push to get going again. Once we got to the bottem, this kind man pulled Koji back to the conveyor lift.

That is me - tubing! Whoo-hoo!

Feb 12: Pool Time

One of the my favorite things at the place we stayed was the children's pool in the recreation center. It was 1.5 feet deep, and enclosed in a gated area. So nice. Even the small kids could play with out having to hold them every moment.

Rich was a big hit in the pool.

Just "the girls" hanging out after swimming.

Feb 10: Kids, kids, kids

We recently returned from a trip to Charlottesville, VA to visit our dear friends Jim and Megan Bleakley. Also with us were Jamie, Koji and Izumi. Meaning that with everyone - we had 5 kids under 5 years of age. But with this big jacuzzi tub, we could bathe 4 of the kids at once. I think this picture will show up again - or get mom something good if I use it for blackmail.

One of the kids' favorite activites was going to the recreation center. We would take over a raquetball court and let the kids run and throw/kick balls to their hearts content.

Storytime!

Time for a movie

Feb 14: Happy Valentines Day Dadda!!

Feb 8: Daddy-Daughter Date Night

For the second year in a row, Calli and Rich have attended our church's daughter date night. So sweet. Calli picked out her dress, tights, and was so excited to wear a necklace.

Feb 1: Pictures from Today

Knowing that Calli wouldn't have school today - I thought a trip to the Children's Museum would be nice. But having received a foot of snow, I was afraid the place would be packed with families who needed an outing on a snow day. Nope - we almost had the place to ourselves - which is so very fun!

Mari picks out some lettuce. I later heard Calli refer to it as broccoli. I guess that makes it obvious that I give my children neither lettuce or broccoli. Actually, maybe I should just consider myself fortunate she identified it with a vegtable.

Calli looking for the barcode to "scan" each package at the checkout.

Mari trying to get the top of the water bottle in the Potbelly's exhibit.

The girls playing in the water exhibit - where I have never been brave enough to go. They LOVED it.

Mari sliding down Clifford's tail. Notice how wet her shirt is from previously mentioned water exhibit.

Calli, carefully studying each letter in Clifford World to determine who it went to. She took the job very seriously.

She even got into costume to be the mail carrier. She spent so much time putting letters in her bag - delivering them - and checking for more letters to mail.

Calli designed and built this all on her own. Impressive - don't ya think?
